From the Kitchen with Lee Ann Fleming

About Us

Lee Ann Flemming is a lady who wears many hats: wife, mother, teacher, church organist, basketball scorekeeper, newspaper and magazine food columnist and a frequent guest chef on WABG-TV's Delta Kitchen on Good Morning, Mississippi. She now wears a brand new hat as author of her new cookbook entitled, RECIPES and REMEMBRANCES.

Just over 4 years ago, Lee Ann began writing a weekly Sunday column for the GREENWOOD COMMONWEALTH newspaper. Her readers look forward to her entertaining stories about topics from anything to her family, students, pets and daily life experiences. The recipes she includes each week send her readers to the kitchen ready to prepare everything from quick appetizers to luscious desserts.

"My only child, Steven, left for college at Mississippi State and I was at a total loss about what I was going to do with no ballgames to go to and no child to take care of. My husband has lots of hobbies, but I've always catered to my "boys" and not taken much time to do things for myself. I have always been known as a pretty good cook. My friends encouraged me to begin there and take my knack for telling a good story and sharing recipes. I began a weekly newspaper column on Sundays and things have just fallen into place since then. I write for LIFE in the DELTA magazine and cook on WABG-TV's morning program. I've met some wonderful people through my writing and television appearances. You never know what life has in store for you. I never thought I would write a book, but here I am today - a brand new author."

Lee Ann is happy, full of life and always wondering, "What can I do next?" Her sense of humor is evident as she includes some of her favorite columns of the past 100 weekly newspaper columns. Recipes are simple, quick and delicious – something for everyone.
